Cross-Cultural Training

HumanR understands that to attract foreign talent, cultural differences play a role. We attach great importance to cross-cultural training, so that the transition to a new working environment for both employer and employee goes smooth and pleasant.

Our courses focus on learning the Dutch culture and corporate culture. HumanR places high demands on the quality of cross-cultural training, we only work with experienced trainers in this field. You can choose from the following training modules:

• Introduction to Dutch culture - is a basic introduction to the general customs and usage in every area of the Dutch culture.
• Personal Effectiveness in a foreign culture - this module focuses on creating and developing the personal effectiveness in the new work culture.
• Etiquette and Customs - Dutch business and social habits are studied and taught in both formal and informal settings.
• Working with expatriate Colleagues - This course is designed for expat and his immediate environment (manager and colleagues). The knowledge of both are transformed into a knowledge-synergy.

Legal Affairs

When deploying foreign talent, visa procedures need be started at the IND, also known as the Highly-Skilled Migrant Procedure. This procedure is experienced by many companies in the Netherlands as being a great burden, given the many tiresome legal steps that must be completes and the various documents that need to be submitted.

HumanR makes it easy for you! We ensure the full and proper handling of this process, resulting in no unnecessary delays. We provide the following services:

• The request for advice on issuing a MVV at the IND.
• The legalization and translation of the required records and source documents.
• In the home country assisting employees in obtaining the necessary documents.
• The application for a residence permit (VVR).
• Registration of Municipal Administration (GBA).
• The application of the citizen service number (BSN).

30% Tax Reimbursement Ruling

For certain employees hired from outside of the Netherlands who bring specific expertise to the Netherlands, a special tax ruling exists called the "30% ruling". It allows an employer to provide an employee with a tax-free allowance of up to 30% of his/her wages.

HumanR verifies that all requirements are met to qualify for the 30% ruling and ensure the full and proper handling of the following procedures:

• Filing a pro-forma request for the 30% ruling with the tax authorities (when necessary);
• Gathering information and filing the final 30% application;
• Follow-up communications with employer, employee and/or tax authorities;
• Review of the 30% ruling grant and forwarding the 30% ruling (plus taxpayer's copy) to the employee and employer for further procedure;
• Further assistance regarding the benefits of the 30% ruling such as obtaining a Dutch driver's license.

Housing

It is important to provide good housing for your employees. HumanR can take responsibility for the following activities:

• Orientation, viewings, selection and mediation of the house;
• Connection of gas / water / light;
• Telephone / Internet;
• Ending of necessary contracts.

Practical Matters

During the stay in the Netherlands, there are many practical things that are required for an expat. HumanR can facilitate the following:

• Opening of bank account;
• Obtaining necessary insurances;
• Converting of driving license;
• Searching for a local doctor, dentist and pharmacy;
• Getting in touch with fellow expatriates and Dutch people;
• Education (selection and visiting of schools / universities).
